Odd art

This may not be art, but it is definitely an unusual object created with imagination and humor.
I bought these socks as a Christmas present without informing my family that the jar contained socks and not real herring. The family tried to flee the Christmas table when I was about to open the jar. But after realizing that they were socks, the Christmas table was filled with laughter instead of panic.
Surströmming is ranked as one of the most putrid food smells on the planet. Surströmming is a highly pungent, lightly salted, fermented Baltic Sea herring from Sweden, famous for its incredibly strong smell (like rotten eggs/sewer) but a salty, tangy, umami taste when eaten traditionally with flatbread, boiled potatoes, onion, and dill. Made by salting and fermenting herring caught in spring, it's a beloved seasonal delicacy, especially in northern Sweden, often enjoyed as a festive occasion, despite its intimidating aroma that leads many to open cans outdoors ore under water.
Described as one of the world's smelliest foods, often compared to sewer, rotten eggs, vinegar, or rancid butter, leading to its viral internet fame.
