Jenny Nyström (1854-1946) is known for her illustrations that shaped the modern Swedish image of Santa Claus.
The motif shows an elf with a Christmas goat in the snow outside a lit window.
The Santa Claus, which Nyström popularized, is a mix of the old Swedish farm elf and the more modern Santa Claus.
The original image is a well-known Christmas motif.
