An antique German hunting pipe/tobacco pipe (often called an Ulmer pipe or Ulmer Kloben). Made and marked Berek's Pfeife. The pipe's shaft is made of a natural material, probably heather root (briar).

The pipe is fitted with a decorative metal lid in brass. The lid served as a windbreak for the embers when used outdoors during hunting.

The pipe head has a detailed, hand-carved relief depicting a hunting motif with stags. This was a very classic motif for Central European hunting pipes during the 19th century.

The model is sometimes called a long pipe or a coupled pipe, where the smoke shaft has a characteristic curved shape that leads up to the mouthpiece, which gave a cooler smoke.

NOTE! According to the Public Health Agency's regulations, I inform you that smoking is seriously harmful to your health and the people around you. By this purchase I do not encourage smoking but rather to buy this pipe as a nice interior detail.
