A glass fruit bowl from Elme Glasbruk. The bowl is red and features a patterned design; it stands on a pedestal base.
The underside displays a distinctive geometric pattern—resembling stylized leaves or stars radiating from the center—combined with ribbing along the base of the pedestal. This pattern is known as "Franska Liljan" (variants of the fleur-de-lis motif) or "Constellation."
In Scandinavia, this specific pattern was produced in red pressed glass by Elme Glasbruk during the 1920s and 1930s. The lighter, almost orange circle at the center of the underside is characteristic of how the glass cools within the press molds during this type of manufacturing, creating the sought-after "Amberina" effect.
