Two oil paintings on canvas created by the renowned Swedish artist Carl Alexius Berndtson. The artworks are set in wooden frames without glass. One of the pieces is titled "Home Run," and the other is titled "Tidig våraning" (Early signs of spring).

The artist Carl Alexius Berndtson signed his works with the pseudonym "Cab." In 1918, he was active as an Expressionist in Stockholm. On his mother's side, he was descended from the famous "Bäckpojkarna" painters of Dalarna, while his paternal ancestry included seafarers from Bohuslän.

Berndtson studied painting under several French and Dutch masters and also completed a master class at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. Over the course of his career, he held approximately 70 international exhibitions. Today, his work is permanently represented in the United States, France, and Germany—including two works each in the Vatican City, at the Smithsonian Institution, and in other American art collections.

Furthermore, his art is held in numerous collections in Sweden. For those wishing to conduct further research into his life and artistic career, document collections are preserved at the Archive for Decorative Art in Lund (now the Museum of Sketches/Skissernas museum), the Tessin Institute in Paris, and in Enebyberg.
