A glazed ceramic goose.
The designer behind the goose is the Swedish ceramicist Valeria Geduscheff-Törnberg (who worked under the signature "Vallis").
She established her own studio, Vallis-Keramik, in early 1971 after completing her training in Malmö and an apprenticeship at Elbogen Keramik. Her beloved and distinctive designs are often characterized by handcrafted details, rustic earthenware, and charming figures.
In addition to geese and birds, she also created popular collectibles such as gnomes, cats, and figures of girls wearing headscarves. Throughout her career, she collaborated with renowned manufacturers such as Jie Keramik and Gabriel Keramik.
