A porcelain box of German or Central European manufacture. Many porcelain factories in Germany (e.g., in Thuringia or Bavaria) and the former Czechoslovakia mass-produced boxes in this specific Rococo style during the mid-20th century.
They often used only impressed model numbers to keep track of the molds within the factory. This box features an impressed number on the bottom and is stamped with the digit "1," identifying the color used for the gilding; it is also painted in cobalt blue. Its style, color scheme, and motif make it a beautiful decorative piece.
