An antique decorative drinking horn (or cornucopia) in the Renaissance style, crafted from genuine horn and mounted with nickel silver fittings; typically dated to the early 20th century or slightly earlier.

The drinking horn formerly belonged to the renowned Swedish court jeweler C.G. Hallberg (Carl Gustaf Hallberg); markings on the piece indicate the inclusion of his initials, maker's mark, and assay marks (see images in the gallery).

Materials and craftsmanship: Comprises a carved and polished cow horn featuring ornate nickel silver (white metal) fittings—including a collar and tip—mounted on a matching stand.

Style period: The design draws inspiration from earlier Renaissance and Neo-Renaissance vessels, featuring chased decoration, foliage motifs, and finely engraved patterns.

Usage: At the turn of the century, the object served primarily as an ostentatious decorative piece, a gift, or a commemorative award, rather than as a functional drinking vessel.
