Two small glass vases. They feature a ground base with a rough pontil mark (the mark left where the blowpipe was attached), as well as fine, natural signs of use (scratches) on the bottom.
This is clear evidence of authentic, mouth-blown craftsmanship.
The label: Unfortunately, the text on the yellow label has worn off, but its texture, color, and shape are typical of older Swedish and Nordic glassworks and handicraft shops from the mid-to-late 20th century.
These specific vases are sometimes referred to as "Calypso" amethyst vases from Swedish or Finnish glassworks.
The design is based on a traditional, timeless Scandinavian form, allowing the purple glass to shift beautifully in color intensity depending on how the glass was shaped and how the light passes through it.
