Manufacturer: The burner is marked "KOSMOS BRENNER." This is a classic round burner of German design (originally patented by Wild & Wessel in 1865), which was produced in vast quantities by various European manufacturers from the late 19th century onwards.
Burner type: The round-wick system provides much more even and efficient combustion than standard flat-wick burners.
