A vintage vase. Produced by the Israeli ceramics studio Kad-Yad during the 1960s and 1970s.

Materials and technique: This is a studio art vase made of earthenware, featuring the characteristic "Fat Lava" aesthetic or drip glaze. It has a glossy, deep dark-brown base glaze combined with a thick, running, and frothy light beige/creamy-white glaze (a so-called drip glaze) around the rim and shoulders.

The vase has an organic, slightly asymmetrical shape with an angled, flared collar. Sculptural indentations or recesses along the sides lend it a Brutalist or Modernist aesthetic.
