A charming still life by Ramón Larruy. The painting depicts a vase with green leaves and a bowl on a table, executed in a clearly structured, almost graphic style with bold outlines set against a purple background.
The artwork is created using a combination of pastel (or colored crayon/chalk) and opaque paint (gouache/tempera) on heavy paper.
Artist: Ramón Larruy (1928–1997), a Spanish-Swedish painter active in Tierp and Uppsala.
Signature: Clearly signed "R. Larruy" vertically on the left side of the image area itself.
Framing: The piece is mounted in a classic frameless glass mount, where the glass and backing are held together by metal clips and secured with elastic bands arranged in a cross pattern on the back.
