A miniature hand-painted decorative egg made of green stone—likely jade or nephrite—resting on a turned wooden base. The egg is detachable.
Painting: It features a hand-painted design in vibrant colors depicting a red bird amidst flowering branches.
Base: The black wooden base is not glued down, allowing the egg to be lifted off. Decorative objects of this type were frequently produced as handicrafts in China between the 1970s and 1990s.
