A charming and authentic vintage wooden gnome from the legendary Bohusslöjd in Gothenburg.
Origin & Markings: The label on the base features Bohusslöjd’s classic logo—a stylized heart enclosed within a lace-like pattern. Bohusslöjd was a renowned institution for high-quality Swedish arts, crafts, and folk art, operating in Gothenburg until it closed.
Materials & Craftsmanship: The gnome’s body is turned from solid wood and clad in bright red wool felt; it features a cut-out white felt beard and a glued-on hat with a characteristic knotted tassel at the back. The face is hand-painted with distinctive details.
Made in Sweden during the 1950s or 1960s.
