Artefakten är en trädocka snidad ur trä, och liknar i stil de dockor i Joseon-stil som var populära under den japanska kolonialtiden. Figuren är från 30-40 talet.
Det sägs att under den japanska kolonialtiden exporterades dockor i Joseon-kläder till utlandet eller såldes till Joseon-folk som bodde utomlands.
Enligt Dong-A Ilbo från den 6 augusti 1937 tillverkades den första koreanska dockan i Joseon som såldes till resterande världen.
