A substantial mug made by Abbednæs Potteri. Stamped on the bottom. It has a strong red color that is glazed and a brown lower part of unglazed stoneware.
Abbednæs Potteri is a small Danish pottery studio located west of Copenhagen in Dianalund. It was originally owned by Kurt Olsen.
The pottery is known for its unique designs, especially a combination of unglazed earthenware and richly glazed tops on items such as stoneware jugs. Their items are considered vintage and are relatively rare to find, especially in the United States.
