Plates

A fabulous collection of teacups with saucers and plates. Perfect for an unforgettable tea party. Made by Fyrklövern in fine porcelain, with motifs from H.C Andersen's fairy tales.

Large plate, bowl and saucer are made of glazed ceramics from Arabia Finland with a beautiful pattern designed by Pauli Partanen. I love the color scheme he used for this series. An artist worth highlighting.

Pauli Partanen is a versatile artist known for his ceramics, sculptures and unique glass work. Partanen’s production can be seen in numerous public and private collections both in Finland and abroad. Partanen started his career at the Finnish ceramics factory, until he started his own company 5 years later, focusing at first on glass production. Throughout the years, he has worked with several interior design architects on different hotel projects.

In his design, he focuses on the harmony between functionality and artistic values. The organic forms of nature, soft curves and an animated line are characteristics of Partanen’s design. Pauli Partanen describes his working method as spontaneous.

An enameled plate. Design Miguel Pineda, 20th century, Mexico.

These beautiful ceramic plates are made by the artist in the Ceramic Factory in Crete. Unique and beautiful to have as a plate to put food on or as decoration. My favorite is the one with the octopus.

The airport in Greece (Chania) was just like any other airport. But this wall caught my interest. Hand-painted tiles in beautiful motifs. Hung on the walls like paintings.
